Inland Technologies now manufactures the GlycolGuard™ drain block system. Based on input from customers and incorporating years of field experience, the robust GlycolGuard™ is designed to deliver high-level environmental protection in a low-maintenance package.
The drain valve mechanism is 100% stainless steel and maintenance is limited to an annual inspection check of the seal and valve. The GlycolGuard™ design is based on a standardized drain mechanism with a custom support plate. The support plate size and shape are configured based on drain specifications. The unit will fit most drain openings that are at least 24 inches [61 cm] or more wide.

The GlycolGuard™ is opened and closed in a matter of seconds
using a simple T-bar handle.

The basin of the GlycolGuard™ is shallow, allowing effluent to be vacuumed using a Glycol Recovery Vehicle or wandering hose attachment without removing the grate. Installation is carried out using simple tools to raise the grate and drop in the unit. The operating mechanism is a hexagonal head that is equipped with a small bendable flag to ensure easy location, even if it is flooded. The drain opens downward allowing rapid discharge when containment is not required.
While initially developed to provide environmental protection against waste aircraft de-icing fluid, the GlycolGuard™ will work year-round to provide containment for liquid spills of any type.
